Human Factors and Human Reliability Health and Safety
Innovative and challenging projects set a new course and help organizations achieve significant goals. An innovative and targeted approach.

Customer:
Italian Energy Company (35,000 employees)
Project:
Application of a model for assessing the probability of error in behaviors for the prevention of accidents
Period:
2021 – ongoing
Scope:
Identify the factors underlying the likelihood of human error in industrial tasks and determine strategies and actions to reduce them in the health and safety field.
Approach (by lines of work):
-
Application of a model developed in collaboration with the University of Bologna, based on PSF theories, direct barriers, safeguard barriers and cultural values intervening in decision-making processes – subsequent development at 1 power site, 1 remediation site, 1 chemical site, offshore oil & gas platforms;
-
A screening phase aimed at identifying target behaviors;
-
A baseline set-up phase aimed at identifying the causes of those behaviors;
-
A phase of selecting appropriate intervention/treatment actions to modify said behaviors;
-
A follow-up phase to evaluate the results of the intervention.
